Adobe: All your e-books are belong to us

You would think Adobe would have learned its lesson after the encryption blunder they made during the stolen Adobe ID database - unfortunately it seems they have not.

Worse, they thought it was a great idea to invade the privacy of every e-book customer:

http://the-digital-reader.com/2014/10/06/adobe-spying-users-collecting-data...

1) invading your device/machine by scanning private information (all your e-books) indiscriminately (even from other ebook reader software);
2) then uploading that information to their servers completely UNSECURED: plain old text files!

Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice, shame on you Adobe!

They've broken I don't know how many privacy laws with this insanely dumb and stupid action on their part.

You know what? I bet EVERYONE agreed to Adobe's actions, because Adobe probably buried the agreement in the EULA, which virtually no one reads but everyone has to accept prior to using the software.

It will be interesting to see how this shakes out if the presumption is true: did users allow allow Adobe to do this because almost none of them have the legal background to disagree? That sounds like fraud to me, and it could create an entirely new venue of litigation for armies of underemployed attorneys.
