ending the perpetual licensing of Creative Suite 6, or CS6, from 3Q14, Adobe has now shifted its entire focus on its cloud-based product offerings in order to lure an increasing number of customers to subscribe to its Digital Media offerings.

it looks like now its subscription or nothing. its their way of increasing subscription without special pricing. another clue as to the success of cc.

I must be missing something. No other outlet is reporting CS6 not being sold anymore and it's still available on Adobe's site.

The article sounds like it was written by someone who doesn't understand the company. Here's the CS6 purchase page (below). It sounds like the author simply interpreted the marketing of CC as meaning the end of CS6, without digging into the actual details. Shoddy journalism.

Wow. Another Wall Street-Adobe love letter/puff piece written by analysts who don't know much about real cloud software. And they got it wrong?

I'm shocked...

The article is without any knowledge of real facts.
It´s meant, that CS6 isn´t available any more for bundled/volume enterprise contracts (Since Q3/14). That´s true.
BUT (!): Single licenses are still available now & in the near future (if we can trust the Adobe representatives here: "there are no plans...")
(And still a lot of income is based on that :)
And funny, how all these WallStreet garbage newsletters don´t show the net income of Adobe.
Don´t show, that their expense of distribution has raised (also they don´t have to press and deliver DVDs now...)
Expense for support raised, Only 64% of subscribers are full-product users..., and so on.
Wonder, whos behind...
