"Adobe exited Q2 with 2 million 308 thousand paid Creative Cloud subscriptions, an increase of 464 thousand when compared to the number of subscriptions as of the end of Q1 fiscal year 2014."

“Adobe’s first-half upside was driven by accelerated adoption of Creative Cloud and Adobe Marketing Cloud”, said Shantanu Narayen, president and chief executive officer, Adobe."

they're ahead of projections and they've bumped the year end outlook up as well.

I felt certain everyone ranting online would have a seismic impact. who knew?

Sorry guys, I do enjoy the rants but I was one of the 400 odd thousand that took the bait. 10 of my Australian dollars for Photoshop and that other weird dohickey thing they bundle with it is a spectacular deal and very hard to turn down no matter how terrible the implementation.

Considering how much of a better deal we photographers get over everyone else you've got wonder what percentage of subscribers are only paying $10. Is that mentioned in the article linked to? I'm lazy.

[Dominic Deacon] "you've got wonder what percentage of subscribers are only paying $10"

33% are point product users (760,000) - the 10 dollar guys.
Roundabout 1.5 m use the full product.
31% of Revenue is based on Marketing Tools.

Although it doesn't say, I'd be willing to bet that since they lumped all rentals together, there would be a BOATLOAD of Marketing Cloud rentals. Way more than CC rentals, I daresay.

Marketing Cloud folks would tend to treat pads & phones like appendages, and they would be more amenable to renting software. People with a history of buying it -- typified by the Creative Suite bunch -- dig in their heels harder on that point.
