i realy expect that, however autodesk has just made smoke a subcription only no perpetual lic. current users will get smoke 2015 free but thats it.

to autodesks credit they anounced it beforehand and gave its curren users a goodwill token.

Avid is going subscription as well, along with Red Giant but at least they have an exit strategy !
