Which is what Adobe could have offered but chose not to. I really do not believe for one minute that Adobe was "forced" to go subscription only as some might have suggested. They had a choice and it is only a matter of time before Avid gets some of its market share back. For me, the only tool of choice is Final Cut Pro X, unless something does change and for the better.
I have nothing against a subscription model, never have. It should not be the only option. Then again, what option does a person have when there is only one choice? My two cents, whatever it is worth.
