I was particularly impressed by the george foreman grill rental they threw in there at the end.

Oh, Amen to that! That video's just painful to watch. I had to shut it off after a minute and a half.

I'm glad it's not just me :)

to be fair, they really did just actually succeed in killing it there.

I even rang up the world government to make sure: they wouldn't stop shouting down the phone. It's over.

I think they need to change the name to "frenetic typography"...

Certainly in this case.

it's amazing how last year's (or maybe the year or two before last's) cool new thing can suddenly look horrendously dated.

... and it was never that cool to begin with.

Yeah, that would be good.
It's one thing to use that technique in a 30-second Ford pickup spot with conjunction with other cool artwork, and it's a far different thing to rely on the text alone, minute after minute.

And someone there actually thought it worked well.

Wow! Digital Juice has subscriptions! Woo Hoo!!

Oh, forgot.... They put out inferior, cheesy, embarrassingly substandard wedding video garbage.

Industry leader no doubt.

Actually their multi-track royalty free music library is pretty good. The stock footage is just like everyone else's. The cheesy graphic stuff is pretty bad, but that seem's to be par for the course. Stock footage and music have been offered via subscriptions from a bunch of companies for years now, Digital Juice is just hopping on-board.

I may have been a little strong in my comments. The only time I took a look at Juice, I spent an hour searching for just ONE decent motion graphics background for a lower budget job, and came away disgusted, wasn't even professional work. But I have no experience with thier other offerings

Since then have found some pretty decent stuff at iStock by comparison, although I almost never buy stock graphics anyway

Yep, I have an extensive library and have found it extremely useful. Most of the better stuff is well outside of the budget I can use for the promo pieces I typically use it in.
