Why was the previous post deleted?

I did not feel my previous post was of any real value so I deleted it.

I have never been keen on a subscription only model especially one that does not offer a clear exit strategy. I really do not like my project files disappearing or at least not be available if I decide to cancel.

I can understand there is some benefit but there are reasons just to own a license. My project files are there, one payment up front and I don't feel the need to upgrade until I am ready. I do run the regular software update on a fairly consistent schedule.

I also don't feel the need to rent software that is not necessary.

I do like After Effects and Photoshop but just really don't want to rent the tools.

Yes, this is just a business model. I just don't agree with it. Nothing personal, just feel that there is a better solution for my present situation.

[David Mathis] "I really do not like my project files disappearing or at least not be available if I decide to cancel."

I'm curious as to why you phrased it this way. Your project files don't disappear, nor or they "not available". When your subscription expires, the software won't launch until you renew. That's it.

Will you be able to access any project done with CC in CS6 or any version prior? Adobe has made some nice progress but I am a bit timid of going to a subscription only model. If there is a clear exit strategy I will be willing to give it a try. So far I don't see one.

If you save out an FCP7 XML version of it?

Yes.
