Just received an email from Adobe indicating that my Adobe ID was in the database but not my password.

"We are writing to let you know that your Adobe ID was in the database taken by the attackers -- but, importantly, your current password was not . As a result, we did not reset your password."

While I'm grateful that they contacted me, I'm puzzled why it took so long. After all Evernote contacted me several weeks ago to inform me that my Adobe ID was in the hacked database.

In no way is Evernote more secure than Adobe, I'm just surprised that I heard from them *before* I heard from Adobe.

@ Gary: I'm pretty careful with usernames and passwords, I use a password generator and frequently change them up so I wasn't worried about the theft my user ID and email address from from Adobe. In any case as soon as I learned about it I changed my Adobe password.

Maybe Adobe was contacting people alphabetically? Which would explain why I heard from them way before you did. ;)
