Adobe CC inviting to leave to independent creators and enthusiastic users?

The new subscription model is probably a good thing for business, as the monthly fee for always up-to-date software is low. More or less, every two years you paid the price of a typical upgrade.

However, for people not living from image business, it seems that Adobe is inviting them to leave the “ecosystem” and move to other applications. For amateurs, people that do things from time to time, independent “no budget” filmmakers and so on paying a monthly fee basically forever does not seems very attractive. In addition, these people do not usually upgrade their computers so often, so new software is not always welcome right away.

What people currently using C4 or C5 will do in 5 years when CS6 will be obsolete? Is moving to another suite the reasonable option? Of course, let’s not talk of millions of students and amateurs that don’t buy their software…

It's also not good for business for what I've seen. Most post production companies in Hollywood they're still on CS5, 5.5 and have no plans to upgrade, specially when constant upgrades is more prone to breaking than fixing stuff, they prefer stability.
