"In spite of the signs of initial success and optimism surrounding the stock,
as evidenced by positive comments by Deutsche Bank DB -0.58%, JMP Securities, and Pacific Crest, caution is warranted.
The opportunity is ripe for emergence of strong competition that can benefit from the resentment against Adobe.
Investors need to take this into account."

But you could only pray. Please god the uptake rate peters out.

They deserve that. they're lying about the model, they're lying about the kind of profit taking they need to do immediately after 2016 if they secure the subscriber base, and they have complete largesse from wall street to do whatever it takes to get that realisable, monetisable subscriber base.

In other words, adobe can keep making fake short term deals that would realistically seem to hurt their long term profit, because there is a massive nod and a wink between them and their institutional shareholders - not to mention the financial press: adobe are winding up to gross profit taking as a locked subscription utility in about three years.

Post Flash and Naranyu, Adobe feel a crappy corporation left scrabbling to prey on a locked, as they currently perceive it, creative market.

In a month the new fcpx is coming out. Lets see.

Adobes "primetime service and the marketing cloud is whats really moving its stock north of the bottom. Maybe the are just prepping the content creation apps for a profitable sale down the the line. Just before the cc only announcement a company specialized in selling companies became part of adobes board.

A couple of days ago adobes system manager sold a lot of his stock. "hmmm"

Oh, look here. You can still get DVD installer discs:

Just think how much money Adobe could make if they decided to sell these discs and the software on them to the millions of customers who want to buy them.

I seem to have Creative Cloud on my machine, even though I didn't ask and don't have any CC applications, only CS6. I think it must have come in one of the update downloads.

Do we think that this makes me a CC statistic - am I one of the million? Because if they think I am, they're wrong.

And the pressure builds... Google just launched this today. It looks good:

...it’s worth noting that projects like Adobe Muse, Reflow and others include most of Web Designer’s features, too. But by making Web Designer available for free, Google is putting quite a bit of pressure on the incumbents in this space.
