Thanks Adobe: Here's is a Real World Example
on Jul 22, 2013 at 5:40:23 pm

At the time I thought that I would always be able to purchase a licensed version of the Production Premium Suite, I signed up for the cloud and used the cloud applications.

With the change in licensing, I made the decision to never rent my software, canceled my subscription and purchased a retain copy of CS6 PP. I uninstalled all CC applications with some difficulty because the Adobe Subscription Manager held on for dear life. I finally was able to just move it to the trash.

I installed a licensed CS6 PP and activated it and it seemed to work.

Now, on a 5:00 pm deadline, I tried to use Illustrator to clean up some artwork and the subscription manager pops up from somewhere and asks me to renew my CC subscription before I can use my licensed software.

I do not have the time or patience to call India.

So, I am going to install my illustrator 5.5 and use it.

Thanks, Adobe

Rich

[Richert Goyette] " I finally was able to just move it to the trash."

Sorry for your trouble, Richert. For all Adobe apps including Creative Cloud, always use the uninstaller that sits directly in the same folder as the app. Dragging an app to the trash rarely uninstalls everything you want it to.

Next time you are having trouble installing or uninstalling, please post your problem to the Download, Install, and Setup forum. Here is the link: http://forums.adobe.com/community/download_install_setup

Thanks,
Kevin

Thanks for the reply, Kevin.

I uninstalled all, each with their separate un-installers.

However, the subscription manager did not appear to have an uninstaller and remained after all CC applications had been separately removed. So, I finally trashed it.

A little late to the party, but this helped me with similar issues:
