I can still purchase a perpetual license for Acrobat?

I've heard people say that Lightroom is not CC only because it was never part of the Creative Suite. But it looks like I can still purchase a license for Acrobat. That was always part of the Creative Suite. Why is this program different?

It's confusing all right. Here's a link to the Adobe discussion forum - it appears that, while Acrobat is part of the CC, it's in some ways separate and distinct:

You may want to ask your Acrobat question directly to Adobe on the forum, but if you find anything new out, would you please post it here?

I think, they have to sell that separately, because there are so many workflows based on that.
Would be a great break of workflow also for Apps which are not from Adobe.
The concerns would be very much greater.
Acrobat is used in the office-world, by 3D Designers, etc.
For many users Acrobat is the only App, they use from Adobe.
And many of them would leave Adobe if they come up with a "solution" like CashCow.
This target group is much more harder to be forced like long time professionals, who based their complete workflow on Adobe apps.
So they sill decided not to lose this income.
They only want us - their long time users, who made them great - to be forced to that CashCow, we don´t want.
They have to decide, what´s good for us.
