There are a couple of threads over in the FCP X Or Not forum on this. Having said that, audio playback issues need to be addressed along with video playback as well in the edit page before Resolve could be considered for use as an editor.

I am very impressed by the progress Resolve is making. Looks good on paper but needs some real world testing.

The trim tools look solid and the media pool has some nice features being added in. I am very interested in this version and ready to give it a try once it is made available. Also excited about the news of Fusion.

i think that it dosent make sense to put out version 12 and not have corrected those issues, but who knows?

Perhaps those issues have been resolved, pardon the pun. Still looking forward to the new version. Might wait for an update or two before diving in.

[David Mathis] "There are a couple of threads over in the FCP X Or Not forum on this. Having said that, audio playback issues need to be addressed along with video playback as well in the edit page before Resolve could be considered for use as an editor. "

The BM people I talked to at NAB said that there is an all new playback engine so audio and video playback should be significantly improved. We have to wait until July to see if that's true or not.

I hope this mean raw files will playback just as well. So far ProRes seems to be o.k. until audio gets thrown in the mix. They forgot to add 3D title, oops! ;-)
