Is it possible to play video from the Cloud files location? I have uploaded a web-ready file. All I see is the thumbnail. I can send a link with the permission to download, but I am not able to play the file via a web browser, like I can with DropBox or the other syncing/sharing services.

I'm not an expert on this area, but I am pretty sure that the answer for now is "no". I do know that extending the services for video files is a high priority.

The experts on these Creative Cloud services are here, so that's where I'd take such questions.

[Todd Kopriva] "I'm not an expert on this area, but I am pretty sure that the answer for now is "no". "

It just seems odd, since I've been able to play a web video file in a browser from just about any plain vanilla hosting location for a decade. Thanks for the info, though.

Just tried the same thing. Flash video comes up full size - but cannot be played.... h264 video cannot play and the cloud refuses to send a link saying it's an incompatible file type. Pretty useless! Back to Vimeo and Drop Box I'm afraid.

Best, Ken.

It seems odd that Adobe would name their product Creative Cloud, and then provide a useless cloud. You can't upload large files. You can't review video files. There is no delete button. The "Cloud" seems like the weakest link of the Creative Cloud. They seem to have the important stuff out of the way, like figuring out how to charge a monthly subcription through the cloud, but unfortunately that does not help us. It is a disappointment in the short term. I love the legacy products like CS6. Let's hope that by the time a real CS7 would have come, that at least they get the Cloud to a point that it is usable. By the way, Vimeo and Dropbox are great solutions in the interim!

You Send It is also an interesting alternative. Although for the professional level access you need to pay just over 100 UKP per annum you do get a drop box with unlimited, indefinite storage. Great for archiving your entire library - and possibly cheaper than buying and replacing hard discs every few years.

Best, Ken.
