I am using Adobe Animate. In the Actions Window I found many features missing from earlier versions(Flash).
Here is a list:
No Actions Toolbox
+ New Item to script
Show Code Hints
Collapse, Expand between braces, Expand all.
There is also nothing really in the actions menu, things like preferences, script assist, auto format, Import Script are no longer there. All that is left is Lock, Help, Close and Close Group. I know the shortcut to Preferences is Ctrl U but how would I find it if I did not know the Keyboard Shortcut?
Can any sage member here tell me why the Actions window in Animate is not as good as a script editor as it was in Flash?
This is annoying. There is a shortage of documentation and tutorials on using Action Script 3 in Adobe Animate. I am having to watch tutorials using Flash Cs4, Cs5 which have a different Actions window. I'm sure I can work around this but it just seems like Animate has gone backwards when it comes to using Action Script. What do other members think.
Also, wasn't there an Action Script forum here on creative cow before?
