NFSv4

I've gotten good results with NFSv3 on 10.9 but in order to use ACLs I will need NFSv4. NFSv4 is supported by 10.9 but I'm finding performance is very poor.

Has anybody had any luck with NFSv4 performance or ACL wise?

Thanks
John

I have not tried NFS v4. I understand why you want ACL's, and the importance of this.
But are you using NFS for FCP-X, or other applications ? Why bother with NFS if it's not for FCP - X ?

We haven't ruled out FCPX but we are close. Also, the server head is a Sun box so NFS seemed the natural choice. We plan on testing Isilon and that's NFS also. Turns out 10.9 has NFSv4 ID mapping issues so Apple needs to fix that.

We we're able to join the Sun box to our OD server though.
