Speedgrade CC Rendering for Import into Premiere Pro CC
on Sep 27, 2013 at 9:15:55 pm

Hello Cow Members,

I've been working on some finishing projects and have just launched into Speedgrade CC. This is my first time using it so I have been watching a lot of Lynda.com videos to help me out.

From what I can tell I'm doing everything right. I'm working with 1920x1080 footage and projects. My sequences and video files are all the same. 1920x1080. I color corrected in Speedgrade CC after sending it from Premiere Pro. I finally got it to render out (Another issue entirely) and the .mov file shows 1920x1080. As soon as I import it into Premiere it becomes 1440x1080.

I've been reading the forums and learned the I need to check my ratio. 1920x1080 is square pixels, correct? Everything that I check in my programs show that the setting are set to square pixels.

So what is going on? Is it something that I should be spending my time fretting about? Or should I just plug it into the sequence in Premiere and move on?

My render settings for Speedgrade are:
Output
HDV 1080p24
24fps
Strip Alpha is checked
Quality maximum

Framing:
I left this untouched

Thank you very much!
