Strange Speedgrade issue
on Sep 12, 2013 at 11:13:58 pm

When I import a 2 minute 34 second clip into Speedgrade, it stretches the clip out to 6:25. Essentially rendering it slow-motion.
The footage was shot on a Canon xf305, brought into Edius 6 (because Premiere Pro won't accept my MXF files), rendered to uncompressed AVI and I've tried Canopus Lossless and MPEG-2.
In fact Speedgrade doesn't recognize the MPEG-2 file.

I've learned that Speedgrade doesn't work with MPEG files. That's cool, They're compressed anyway.

Just watched the tutorial by Andrew Devis. Awesome!

Another update...

Exporting from Premiere Pro to Speedgrade (albeit excruciatingly long, as Andrew warned) brought the clip in at the correct length.
