Hi,

I'm a premiere pro cc user (newly converted from FCP) and would like to move beyond a 3 button mouse for working with speed grade. I don't have much money and wanted to see what alternatives there were.
anyone have a suggestion?

thanks greatly,

tom

Speedgrade currently only supports Tangent CP200 and Waves control surfaces which start around ~$1500

The poorman's version which still acts as a mouse would be something like the Logitech Marble Mouse.

The Logitech marble mouse, or trackball, is amazing with Speedgrade. Been using it since the introduction of Speedgrade. Making accurate adjustments in the color wheels is as smooth as any high end control board.

How does the Marble Mouse work with SpeedGrade? Do you have to hold down a button while using the marble (to adjust color wheels)? Is there any way to map it so you can use the marble freely like you would on a control surface?

To use the Logitech marble trackball with Speedgrade the left button has to be held while using the trackball. The software that drives the trackball does not map.
