Speedgrade disk cache
on Jul 3, 2013 at 10:08:41 am

Hi guys,

I just started to do my color grading in Speedgrade and I have a question.

I've noticed that after grading in Speedgrade the program is taking A LOT of disk space, but I can't find the cache in the usual place as. (Library > Application Support > Adobe etc)

In Premiere I can easily set my external HD as the place where my cache needs to be stored. How is this possible in Speedgrade? In the Cache tab I cannot point to a directory.

Thanks!

It's my understanding that Speedgrade's cache is ram-only. Are you seeing an increase in swap disk (ram-on-disk) size in your Activity Monitor?

I'm new to SpeedGrade, and also want to know where SpeedGrade stores cache files.

Also, SpeedGrade takes nearly 90 seconds to launch on my Mac 5,1 tower with 32GB RAM. Any suggestions why is it so slow to launch?
