Crossfades in SpeedGrade from PremierPro

Hi everyone. I had to create a new account because I lost my old one a while ago.

Anyways. I did some searching around and couldn't find an answer to my question so here it is:

What do I do about cross fades in SpeedGrade? I just started using SpeedGrade and exported to it from PremierPro after spending time editing and create the entire video. I love SpeedGrade but it doesn't seem to handle the transitions very well. I believe that is a known issue.

What would I have to do in Premier to "unedit" all of my clips that have cross fades or dissolve to black and then export it to SpeedGrade and then when that is done edit it again in Premier to recreate all of the transitions?

I am not sure how I would go about that.

Thanks!

Patrick

If you are exporting DPX files from Premiere (the timeline as a whole) then you use the keyframe controls to grade through transitions.

You may want to look into EDL imports if Speedgrade supports your camera originals, as the EDLs will rebuild simple crossfades and dips to black.
