White Board Video with JVC GY-HM100U
on Feb 18, 2012 at 7:29:20 pm

We are filming several videos with out JVC GY-HM100U in front of a whiteboard. We had a lighting guy come in a set up the lights and previous videos have been pretty good.

Yesterday, we filmed a video and the whiteboard actually looks like it's moving and we have more shadows than normal.

Here's the video: http://www.gettingthemoney.com/vsl

How do we fix that really annoying moving whiteboard and how can we adjust the settings on our camera to get a clearer, whiter, brighter video?

Didn't see the video. You really need to post a relevant clip from the video in a clean, easy to access site like yt, vimeo, etc, and not where there are membership fee's and sales pop-ups.

I'll follow that up my previous post by saying that getting better results shooting a dry-erase board (white board) has been previously discussed, either in Field Production, or Lighting and Design. You might try a search.
There are a lot of factors involved and it is not a camera specific thing. In fact it's not all about the lighting either. As I said, lots of contributing factors, pretty well covered in one of the other forums.

I am curious about this, or what you mean when you say moving?

I did read the other posts and they didn't address the question I have about the background moving in the video. I finally got some help and it's a camera issue.

I have the same camera and would be curious about what you found. I watched your video and can't understand why the background was moving but the subject was not.
