Editing mpg file shot with JVC 110 U
on Feb 17, 2012 at 10:20:30 pm

Hello
I have a video files that I want to edit in FCP 7.03 but the software don't recognize de file. (mpg extension)
I shoot with JVC 110U and the capture was from the cassette.
Also I try to convert the files with Toast titanium but I have the same problem. Software don't recognize the file. Can someone tell me what I am missing? What's the problem?
Thank you very much

[Darius Cornean] "I have a video files that I want to edit in FCP 7.03 but the software don't recognize de file. (mpg extension)"

That is not a supported editing codec in FCP. It's an output codec.
Tape captures from a 110 should be either HDV, or ProRes422.
What is your workflow for capture?
