White line in image
on Oct 26, 2011 at 2:48:50 am

Hi! I owned a JVC GYHD-110. When I turn on the camera I noticed a very small white horizontal line in te image, almost in the middle. I though the problem was a dirty lens but, when I close the iris completly (black image) the small line still in the image. I recorded and playback the footage and the line is in the recording. The small line is very straight. Anybody has an idea of what would be the problem? Dead Pixel, CCD block problem, please let me know.

Fairly common problem with these cameras, see links below.

Some things to try, let the camera warm up 5 to 10 minutes, and white balence before taping, avoid video gain and the all auto settings.

I have a used HD-200U, recording to a Datavideo DN-60, works great, and so far I haven't had the split screen CCD problem.

Cheers,
