GH5 Back end sensor size.

Hello i am trying to calculate the correct back end sensor size of the GH5 but after the least firmware updates i am not sure what is corrects anymore.

Usually to find the correct back end sensor i do the following math:

To find the width.

3840 ÷ 1920 = 2
3840 ÷ 2 = 1920
17.3 ÷ 2 = 8.65mm

To find the high.

2160 ÷ 1080 = 2
2160 ÷ 2 = 1080
13 ÷ 2 = 6.5mm

So for the 1920 x 1080 the actual back end size is 8.65mm x 4.85mm

My data until now:

But how is possible that when I record in 4096 x 2160 the size of the sensor stays the same ?

Questions
1. When i record in 3840 x 2160 is the GH5 using a smaller part of the full 17.3 mm x 13 mm (0.68 in x 0.51 in) sensor? And if yes what is the actual size ? or how i can calculate that ?

2.When i record in bigger resolution like the 4096 x 2160 what is happening to the sensor ? is using a different aspect ratio ? or is this the actual full back sensor ?

3. And what is actually happening to the sensor when you record 6K anamorphic (4,992 x 3,744)?

4. Is the real size resolution based on the amount of pixels that are in the Photo mode Instead on the Video mode ?
