Auto add preset name to file name?
on Jan 4, 2014 at 10:03:45 pm

Is it posible to setup Media Encoder to add the name of the encoding preset (or part of it) to the filename that it outputs?

For example I have been working on a sequence called "Showreel" and I want to encode multiple version of the same sequence using presets. Ideally I would add it to the queue, add one preset, and set the destination. Then I could add other presets that encode to the same folder but with different prefixes so I end up with something like:

showreel_ProRes.mov
showreel_iTunes.mp4
showreel_Vimeo.mp4
showreel_YouTube.mp4

At the moment I have to manually add the name of the preset myself.

Did you ever find a solution to this question?
