I've been doing a bit of reading on the Quicktime format with H.264 codec and the H.264 format itself within AME.
It seems that people prefer to use the H.264 format over the Quicktime format with H.264 codec. Personally, I've always used the H.264 format (as it gives me full control over the bitrates of the output) and I've always found that it produces smaller files than the Quicktime equivalent does.
However, why is it that I can only export with the H.264 format to .mp4 or .3gp? What if I want to use the H.264 format to produce a .mov? It doesn't seem that's possible - why not? And is there anything wrong with just changing the file extension to be .mov instead of .mp4?
