How to Make Presets from Existing Video File
on Oct 26, 2015 at 11:40:26 pm

How can I make a custom preset from the values in an existing file? I have an older mp4 that played fine in our company, mostly Windows Media Player. I made a new video from that and used Premiere to encode it.

The new version plays fine on my machine, but crashes on several of the Windows Media Players in our company. I used a program to dump the XML of the stats in the old and new videos and I notice they are fairly different. I would like to encode my new video in the exact same manner as the old one. I believe I could do that with a custom preset, but I have no idea how to base a preset from the older video.

Any help would be appreciated. I do have the entire Creative Cloud suite available to use, in case something else will create the encoder details I need.
