Avid will not spit out a NTSC signal until everything is rendered. If real time rendering is on, it won't work. However once it is off and everything is fully rendered, it will work. Avid will spit it out through the DV/HDV firewire connection.
As far as mojo, it does indeed make it work, it simply offloads some of the rendering tasks onto the mojo which helps the computer fully render effects on the fly.
