DVDit v6.0 Unpredictable Hang on AMD 64 X2 Dual-Core

I was getting along with DVDit v6.0 Pro on my AMD Athlon 2400+ running WinXP Home but then bought a new machine.

AMD 64 X2 Dual-Core 4400+
WinXP Pro
GeForce 6800 video 256Mb
x2 300Gb RAID(0) stiped supplementary drives
Raptor 10k rpm boot drive
2Gb DDR-400 RAM

When I invoke DVDit it comes up fine. However, when I load up an existing project it will unpredictably hang. Checking OS processes everything appears fine with everything responding but it is a never ending loop from which the only escape is to terminate the process from the OS. Usually if I simply re-invoke DVDit and read in that same project everything goes fine though not always.

Also, after doing some editing on such a project the application will sometimes unpredictably hang forcing me to perform an OS termination.

My old machine is still up and networked to this machine. DVDit runs robustly on that machine.

I would download the latest updates for DVDit off the Sonic web site except there are software problems. It just won't do it.

It is reallly neither here-nor-there because my intent for this hot rod machine is to run Adobe Production Studio Pro on it. That software is running PERFECTLY on it. PERFECTLY!
