Analog capture quality

Can anybody tell me if there is a difference in analog capture quality? I understand the editing/rendering advantage of an expensive card (like RT.X100), but do they capture analog at a higher quality than a cheaper card (Pinnacle AV/DV, ADS AV/DV) ?

Just want to be educated.
Thanks, Alan

The RTX100 will goive similar analog qulaity to the ADVC100 or AV link. The quality will be slightly better than the inexpensive Studio AV/DV hardware.

The Canopus ADVC300 will give the best results, becuase it includes additional features to clean up and restore the video qulaity of your old VHS tape.
