NLE to DVD Recorder

I am able to go from my Avid Xpress Pro HD to a Pioneer PRV-LX1 via firewire at work . This generally makes for a nice, clean, fast transfer from the Avid timeline to a DVD (usually for client preview, although it works well for quick in house projects).

I have tried 2 DVD recorders (Samsung DVD-R120 and Panasonic DMR-ES20S) on my Premiere Pro system at home - neither worked. The Panasonic was blank, the Samsung seemed to want to control a camcorder.

Is there a deck out there (in the sub$200 range) that will take a ieee-1394 input? Am I missing some kind of trick? I tried "export to tape". Nothing. NOTE: I can record back to my camcorder via 1394 -- it seems there should be a deck that well take the same signal.

Thanks in advance,
Dave
