For real time MPEG2 encoding, which is the best?

1. Source ----> analog video (composite/component/s-video) ----> MPEG2 Encoder (Optibase, Canopus, etc.) ----> file.mpeg

2. Source ----> digital (IEEE1394) ----> NLE Card ----> file.mpeg

Which is the best result ?

Wendi W.
