New video system advice - how to put it all together

I want to put together a system for capturing and editing video. I have a bunch of components from graphics systems. I need advice on what will go where for best setup for video. Also, what is the advantage in using Raid 0? Here is a list of hardware I currently have:

- CPU - P4 3.2 Northwood (bus speed 800)
- CPU - AMD BARTON XP 3200+ 2.2GHZ L2 512KB 400FSB
- MOBO - MSI 865PE/G Neo2-P - 865PE chipset
- MOBO - DFI LanParty Ultra B - nForce2 Ultra 400 chipset
- HDD - (2 x) 300GB Seagate Barracuda SATA 150 7200RPM
- HDD - 80GBWestern Digital Caviar SE 3.5" SATA150
- HDD - 120 Gig WD Special Edition 7200rpm ATA drive
- HDD - 120 GB External Combo Hard Drive - FireWire / USB 2.0

- GRAPHICS CARD - MATROX MILLENNIUM G550 32MB DDR AGP
- VIDEO CARD - Matrox RT2500 Video Editing Card
- RAM - 1 Gig (4 x 256MB) CRUCIAL PC 2100 DDR RAM
- RAM - 1 Gig (2 x 512) Corsair Twinx1024-3200LLPT DDR400 ram

- PSU - ANTEC NEOPOWER 480
- DVD/CD RW - SONY DW-D22A
- CASE - ANTEC P160 Performance 1 aluminum case
- CASE - ENERMAX FS-710B FULL SIZE ATX SERVER CASE
