help capturing video..what external solution should I use
on Jun 1, 2005 at 4:35:58 pm

Hi,
First Post here, and Im glad I found you. I have been researching all different methods of capturing video from old VHS, VHS-C, 8MM, and even reel to reel.
My dilema is I have a laptop - Sony Vaio P4 3ghz, 512Mb ram, 80gb HDD, Dula layer DVD, built in Firewire and 64Mb ATI video.
After looking at all of the different external hardware solutions, what is my best bet. My budget is between $175-$200
I have looked at Dazzle150, ADS Pyro A/V Link-FireWire, Pinnacle Systems Studio 9 Moviebox.
I have Vegas 6 and I want to know which way to turn....so many mixed reviews, I cant make up my mind on what to do.

Please help me... Confused :

thanks

Check out the Canopus ADVC units. I believe that have one (possibly two) in your price range.
