I'm almost ready to buy, and would like some feedback on the system drive, and video card set up.
I'm going to be running Adobe PPro 1.5, After Effects 6.5, Encore, Avid Xpress Pro HD, and Pro Tools...
(and who knows what will be coming in the next couple years)

Antec Case SLK 3000B (11 bays) $46
550 Watt Power Supply $19
Asus P5AD2E Premium $226
Intel P4 3.2 (540J) $220
2GB Corsair RAM (1GB Sticks) $260
eVGA GeForce 6800 256mb PCIE $259 HDTV out
Seagate 160 GB Sata/system drive $80
Seagate 2x 250GB Sata $137+137
Pioneer dvd 109, 16x dual layer $60
XP Pro

I have 2x 60GB IDE drives, and 2x 120GB IDE drives in my current
Dell...Should I use any of those for my boot drive in a RAID setup over a single SATA drive?
Is the eVGA GeForce 256mb card a good choice? over the PNY Quadro 5400 128mb?
Anything I'm missing?
thanks videoguys for guiding me thru the technology....

With Avid I would urge you to get a PNY Quadra based card. Avid takes advantage of the OpenGL acceleration.

Everything else looks great! Happy editing!
