When previewing your video project's output prior to burning to DVD, is a preview monitor better than a standard monitor? I've been surfing the web, and the general consensus seems to be that an NTSC preview monitor gives a more accurate representation of your finished project.

For now, Just use a TV monitor with anS-video input. That is what your audience will be watching on and they are cheaper.

Later, after you have been editing for awhile, you can make the decision on whether you need a bonified NTSC studio monitor.

TV monitors (Daewoo) can run as little as $150, while Sony or JVC professional NTSC video monitors can run WELL over $2,000
