I am starting to collecting parts for a video editing computer:
- Asus P4C-800E mobo
- Intel P4 3.0c cpu
- Antec TruePower 380S psu in Antec SLK2700AMB case

For a video editing computer, is maximal memory bandwidth or maximal amounts of memory more beneficial for video editing?

Even going with DDR400, you should get more than acceptable bandwidth on that Asus motherboard, so in this case I would say the amount of memory would be more important. I recommend a minimum of one gigabyte, though ideally you should have two gigs (more than this is rarely if ever going to give you a real benefit, and Windows XP 32-bit won't take more than 4 anyway).
