Which ASUS motherboard for NLE?
on Jan 31, 2005 at 2:29:14 am

I've been reading about chipsets and sockets here for the last few hours and I am more confused than ever. I've come to the conclusion that at least as far as brand names go, ASUS is the way to go when it comes to NLE - Now, the question is - which one is the best and least expensive to buy assuming I am going to use it with a Pentium 4 3+ GHz w/ HT?

Thanks for your help!

Mike

We used the ASUS P4C800-E DELUXE in our first DIY machine. For $180.00
it is a great choice.

Cool, thank you - do you happen to know what would be the next best ASUS board next to the P4C800-E Deluxe? $180 is kind of high for me - what would be the next step down and what would the difference be (if you know) ?

Save your money and get the board you mentioned. I have it and it's a screaming machine and very satisfactory. Worth the wait if you don't have the money.
