VCR connection to my PC
on Nov 8, 2004 at 8:48:17 pm

I run a video projection system at church and I connect with only my laptop. I want to use more video clips, but I cannot get them to the projector without going through the laptop. I want to connect a VCR to the laptop to get the clips, but cannot find the info I want about connecting the VCR with either Firewire or USB2. What is a good, not so expensive, VCR that we can get that will connect to the laptop for editing?

Thanks

The edirol V4 would be excellent for your project. It's a little expensive, but will save you time. I would connect three cameras and use a dvd-recorder that you can get for about $280.00 and use it for your master recording. Once you have recordered the project, then put the dvd-disc in your computer and start editing away! Good luck! Here is an example that may help...check out this link.
