Dual XEON 533FSB -OR- Single P4 800FSB

If you building your dream machine from scratch and performance/stability were more important that price, would you go dual XEON or the new 800MHZ front side bus P4's in a single processor configuration?

I'm hearing alot of good things about the ASUS P4C800-E DELUXE board and am attracted to the new P4. But, I've always had a dream of building a hot dual CPU system. Conflicted over here...

Any comments would be appreciated.

I just traded up from a single 533 to a single 800(2.8 hyperthreaded with 2gb ram)and the benchmarking scores are hugely improved.
I'm sure you know that xp pro considers the hyperthreaded cpu's as 2 cpus.
I think tomshardware has some great reviews of comparisons of duallys to singles.
I understand your desire for more power but I think the way it stands right now the dual xeons would be wasted because of the apparent lack of interest from most software vendors to address two cpus in their coding.
That the way I understand it.

Don't know anything about building a dual processor system, but I know I'm very happy with my Asus P4C800-E Deluxe motherboard, with P4/3.0GB processor! Laughing
