I have a bunch of tapes that are either 3rd/4th gen with the encumbant picture quality problems and I have a few tapes that the picture for the most is fine but either the sound is a little blurry, for lack of a better description, or I get these odd little blips that seem to correspond with these brief lines of static that randomly cross the screen.
I've looked at some of the Sima video enhancers and I've looked at time base encoders and they all say I can fix the picture with them but will they help me out with the sound as well? I'm recording from a couple of different vcrs to a Philips DVDR75 standalone recorder.
I'd prefer to not spend a whole lot of money, but at the same time I'm not looking to cheap out either. I want something that will work without costing me a fortune. Thanks!
