I work for an agency that hosts many training sessions per year. This training could last from one hour to 8 hours per day. We would like to record our training sessions without having to change tapes every hour. Is it possible to stream real time video directly to a large capacity hard drive?
We have the Canon Optura Xi, and can purchase any desktop or laptop PC w/firewire needed for the project. Would we need a 3rd party software or capture card to make this connection happen?
Also, any recommendations for the size of hard drive needed to hold 6-8 hours of video.
I would greatly appreciate any and all input or advice. I'm under a lot of pressure to make this happen.
