Is RT.X100 okay in a Gigabyte mobo?
on Feb 20, 2004 at 6:09:39 pm

I want to get the RT.X100 for my system but I'm not sure about compatability; Gigabyte isn't on Matrox's mobo compatability list, but mine meets their mobo requirements. It's a stable system, but I have no experience with NLE real-time cards -- I understand the requirements are demanding. Has anyone had any problems with this mobo and NLE configurations?

My entire system...

O/S - Windows XP Pro w/SP1 (and other updates)
MB - Gigabyte GA-8KNXP (875p chipset)
CPU - P4-3.2MHz/800MHz FSB
RAM - Corsair XMS TwinX1024-3200C2PRO (dual-channeled)
Video - Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB
Sys HD - Maxtor 80GB 7,200rpm SATA
NLE HD - 2 x Maxtor 160GB 7,200rpm SATA (RAID-0)
DVD - Pioneer A06 (dual format)
Audio - Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro (the only PCI card)
Modem - DSL/100BaseT

Any feedback is much appreciated!
