This is probably any Mini DV videographers nightmare. I had a Canon Z20 that I used to shoot dozens of tapes. I recently returned the Canon and purchased a Sony DCR TRV70. Here is the bummer: All the Canon tapes are not playing back correctly - lots of loss and choppy sound. In VCR technology, I would probably correct this with a tracking feature to better align the heads for playback. Cameras dont seem to have a tracking feature so the end result is I am hosed. It seems the canon was slightly off on alignment. Does anyone know how to get around this so I can recover these tapes!??? Thanks in Adv.
