I have a Sony DCR-TRV350 Camcorder, records in D8 & plays my old 8mm tapes. Anyway what card should I use to transfer my new and old footage to my PC for making them into DVDs?

Thanks

I have the same Sony camcorder and also have an extensive collection of Hi-8 tapes of family trips, etc. If fact, the main reason I bought the '350 is so I could still play the old tapes and get them dubbed to DVD. I can't find it in the Sony User's Guide but I was told that when playing Hi-8 tapes there is an internal analog to digital converter and that the video playback is available on the DV Out (Firewire) connector. I will be able to verify this for myself soon as I just bought a Firewire card and a Pioneer A06 DVD burner for myself for Christmas.

If you're asking what firewire you need, then the Pyro works well.
