I am now using a trial version of Ulead Video Studio 7 after an unhappy encounter with Adobe Premiere 6.5. I am doing documentaries and need software that is easy but powerful enough. I need to import still photos from Adobe Photoshop and also I need voiceover as well as using the original audio in a different place.
I read somewhere that Video Studio only is good for short videos. Is this true? My videos tend to be about one hour long.
Video Studio 7 is capable of hour-long (or longer) video. It can also import images (including .psd files from Photoshop), and you can do voice overs. What you may not like about Video Studio 7 is that you can vary the volume of an entire clip only, so that you cannot mute or lower the original audio volume only during the voice over.
