Saving Still Images from DVD
on Aug 3, 2003 at 7:04:04 pm

I've just bought a DVD+RW recorder and have been happily burning my favorite TV shows onto DVD+RW and DVD+R discs (sans commercials). However, I was really hoping to be able to capture some stills from these recordings to use in slide shows, screen savers, wallpaper, etc. I have a DVD-ROM drive and Windows Media player on my computer and I can pause the recording right where I want to capture a still picture, yet I cannot figure out how to save an image this way. Does anyone know how to save these still images to a computer? Am I missing some piece of software or hardware in order to do this? (If so, any cheap suggestions of what I might need to buy?) I already have the following installed on my computer: RealOne Player, Microsoft Picture It, Adobe Acrobat Reader.
