Canopus ACVD100 or ADS Pyro AV Link ?
on Oct 3, 2003 at 1:51:29 am

Hi,

I need a simple digital & analogue capture solution.

I already have my DVD creation software sorted, but need a way
of getting Digital & VHS footage to the computer.

Can anyone recommend either of these products ?

Cheers

Hi,
Well I've just sent my A/V Link back.
Has cost me a bundle in lost time.

Tech support at ADS was not very helpful.

Am changing to the Canopus.

HI!
Don't know about the Canopus ADVC100 but had enough of ADS AV Link.
Been suffering since I purchased it, damn thing drops frames whenever I try capturing from a VCR/8mm/Hi8.The ADS tech support said it was faulty,so I returned it to the Dealer , who gave a replacement which does the same thing , 3 months wasted and my
vhs to DVD conversion has come to a stop. so whatever product you
buy,see that you test it.
CHRIS!

Ive had the Canopus ADVC100 for a little more than a year, and I absolutely love it. I work in television news, and 2 coworkers saw mine and liked it so well theyve both bought their own and now they swear by it too. It has served ALL my needs since day one and I would recommend it to pretty much anyone.
