on Jan 30, 2003 at 6:05:57 am

when i capture my videos from my camera to my computer i am using premiere

i save them as avi's 720x576 pal

now if i want to export these to my camera back onto tape do i just do it as this quality
or should i change them to another format?

is avi quality the same quality that is already on the tape?

thanks
mike

well, as long as your camera is PAL, then just export them as is. if you're capturing analog video there is very little quality loss on export (so little you wont notice). if you're capturing DV (using firewire) then there is no quality loss at all.

There are quite a few video cameras that only have output capabilities and will not accept digital inputs. If you have one of these then you will not be able to put your videos back onto the camera tape.
